Many people dream of starting a business. They talk about ideas for years, waiting for the “perfect moment” to begin. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned in my journey, it’s this: perfection never comes.
When I look back, I’ve started plenty of businesses — some while I was working, and many more after I became a full-time entrepreneur. Some of them worked out well and grew into successful ventures. Some I had to stop midway. And yes, some completely failed.
At the time, those failures felt heavy. But here’s what I realized: none of those attempts were wasted. Each one taught me something about people, markets, timing, and about myself. If I had waited for the “perfect plan” or the “perfect opportunity,” I would never have learned any of those lessons.
Business isn’t about waiting. It’s about starting. When you act, you move from imagination to experience. You learn by doing. You adapt, you improve, and you grow stronger with each step.
The truth is, the road to success is never straight. It’s full of turns, detours, and even dead ends. But every path you take adds something valuable to your journey. Some ideas will become stepping stones. Others will become warnings. And a few will become the foundations of your biggest successes.
If there’s one advice I’d give to anyone with a dream, it’s this: don’t wait for perfect—start with courage. You’ll never have all the answers at the beginning. But if you have the willingness to take the first step, the answers will come along the way.
Looking back now, I don’t regret a single attempt, even the ones that failed. Because each one pushed me closer to the place I stand today.
So, stop waiting. Start acting. Because in entrepreneurship, action will always beat perfection.
