Don’t run after money. Run after vision. When your vision is strong, money will run after you.

When I first stepped into the world of business, I didn’t have experience, but I had determination. In those early days, I worked hard under my boss, learning everything I could. Then came a moment that tested me.

A competitor approached me with an offer three times the salary I was earning. For someone just starting out, it was life-changing money. I could have taken it and walked away. But something inside me told me not to. What I truly wanted was not just a bigger paycheck, but growth. I wanted to be shaped, to learn, and to build a future that would last longer than a few extra notes in my pocket.

I stayed. Later, my boss found out about the offer. Instead of being disappointed, he rewarded my decision. He promoted me and gave me more than what I had turned down. That moment was a turning point. It taught me a lesson I have carried throughout my life: when you choose vision over money, rewards follow in their own time.

Steve Jobs once said, “The only way to do great work is to love what you do.” That love, that sense of purpose, is what keeps us moving forward even when the road is difficult.

Looking back, I realize this: chasing money might bring short-term gain, but chasing vision builds something that lasts. Money is a byproduct of vision, not the goal itself.

The moral? Don’t run after money run after vision. If your vision is strong, money will run after you.
